BREEDING
We do not breed for volume or trends.
Each pairing is planned with purpose, with focus on temperament, structure, and real-life suitability.
Our focus: stable temperament, correct structure, and functional ability come first.
A Boerboel should be:
- mentally stable
- physically balanced
- capable in real-life situations
Selection
Not every dog is used for breeding.
Selection is based on:
- temperament
- structure
- health
- overall suitability
Dogs that do not meet these criteria are placed in appropriate homes.
Selection criteria
Breeding decisions are never based on a single trait.
We look for dogs that show:
- stable, reliable temperament
- correct structure and movement
- physical capability
- suitability for real-life environments
Each dog is evaluated as a whole, not as individual parts.
What we don't breed for
- We do not breed for trends, color, or extremes.
- No pairing is made based on appearance alone.
- Function, temperament, and overall balance come first.
- Not every good dog is a breeding dog.
Health and testing
All breeding dogs are health tested before use.
We evaluate hips, elbows, spine, and knees, along with eyes, heart, and overall condition.
DNA testing has always been part of our program. We screen for known hereditary conditions, including epilepsy, and take results into account when planning combinations.
The goal is not perfection, but to reduce risks and make informed breeding decisions.
Breeding is long-term work.
The goal is not just to produce dogs, but to produce the right dogs.
